My name is Debra Opri. I am one of the most recognizable female litigation attorneys of the 21st Century, both in the courtroom and on television.
Majority of my cases deal with the representation of everyday people who need a passionate advocate when the system is not working for them or when their finances prevent them from hiring expensive attorneys or law firms. This is where I am most sought out, and for which I personally select my clients on a case-by-case basis.
I am best known for my representation in high-profile and notable cases, such as the Anna Nicole Smith paternity case, the Michael Jackson molestation trial, the David Hasselhoff divorce battle and the James Brown sexual harassment trial. For the past 27 years, I have publicly distinguished myself from many other media lawyers in that I actually litigate my own cases, most of which are under the glare of the media spotlight.
Result Driven Advocacy
I am first and foremost a litigator. As founder and partner of Opri & Associates, a law firm I started in 1989, I have long been on the frontline as a pre-eminent and vocal litigation attorney. For more than two decades, I have advocated on behalf of my clients, who come from every walk of life. While some clients are celebrities, most are not famous but rather regular people who need someone to fight for them.
This is where I am at my best. I draw my legal expertise from a wealth of knowledge on diverse cases in divorce, palimony, custody, domestic violence and paternity as well as those civil and criminal cases I have handled. I use my talent and natural courtroom abilities to emphasize the importance of the "media's perspective" as a vital component in many of my clients' cases and issues.
Debra Opri has been rated as AV Preeminent through Martindale-Hubbell's peer-review rating process, which is the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.
